A lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a man allegedly assaulted by the mayor of Samson. Stephen Oates, of Geneva County, Florida, claims in his lawsuit that he was stabbed by Samson mayor Clay King at a motel earlier this year after a confrontation. According to the police, the confrontation between King and Oates was sparked by Oates relationship to King’s estranged wife.
Oates’ lawsuit seeks over $15,000 in damages for disability, disfigurement, pain and suffering.
