“According to a press release, Lt. Michael Jackson, with the Mauston Police Department, failed to yield the right-of-way and struck the driver’s side door of a van at the intersection of Division Street and Grayside Avenue.

The accident caused the 1999 Chevrolet van to spin and eventually roll onto its top.

The driver of the van, 47-year-old Thomas Lucht, of La Valle, suffered a head injury. Also injured was Sarah Lucht, who suffered moderate bruising and minor cuts, and Leo Lucht, 80, who suffered moderate bruising. All three passengers were transported by ambulance to Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston. Jackson also suffered minor injuries from the accident.”
